The TEACHER's PRAYER

Lord in Heaven, help me never to forget the beauty in a little child.

Never let me forget the wonder and trust and yearning in their bright, twinkling eyes.

Help me to remember that I am shaping the lives of future generations.

And though I am unworthy of this precious charge, give me the the strength to be the best model scholar and the best Christian example that I can possible be.

Give me love to overcome adversity.
Give me patience to overcome trials.
Give me wisdom to overcome my shortcomings.
Give me faith to overcome my dark hours.

And as I find my rest tonight, help me to love my pupils and to remember them in my prayers.

Give me strength equal to tomorrow's task, for I depend on you alone, just as my pupils depend on me.

dream diary entry (+ interpretation)

AUGUST 5, 2010

THE DREAM:
I dreamed I live in the town where my special friend lives. I borrowed something from him. He came to my "house" using his bike to get the thing back. But he wasn't speaking or talking at all so I didn't mind him 'till he got mad and leave. I ran after him and apologized. I talked to him for a while, he was dragging his bike along. What we were talking about? FISHES! haha! It was weird because everything was so clear---the place, my house, even the way we talk is so natural! he gave me a ride home afterwards. When I got home, my mom said with gritted teeth, "Wag kang makikipag-close sa lalaking 'yun". There, my dream ended with me wondering why I shouldn't be close with him! haha.

 THE SYMBOLS and their INTERPRATATION:
>SPECIAL FRIEND:

>HOUSE:
To see a house in your dream, represents your own soul and self.  To see a new house in your dream, indicates that you are entering into a new phase or new area in your life. You are becoming more emotionally mature.

>BICYCLE:
To dream that you are riding tandem in a bicycle, suggests that you are more accepting with aspects of yourself or of your partner that you have previously rejected.

>FISHES:
To see fish swimming in your dream, signifies insights from your unconscious mind.  Thus to catch a fish, represents insights which have been brought to the surface.

>MOTHER:
To see your mother in your dream, represents the nurturing aspect of your own character. To dream that you are having a conversation with your mother, denotes a matter that has preoccupied your mind and you are not sure how to deal with it in your waking life. It indicates unresolved problems that need to be worked out with your mother.

>RUNNING AFTER (CHASE DREAMS):
If you are the one doing the chasing, then the dream may highlight your drive and ambition to go after something you want. Or perhaps the dream suggests that you are falling behind and having to catch up with everyone else.

There, there, share your brilliant explanation with me! :')

EMOTERANG *bitter na* BEST FRIEND

Sweet words. Exchange of 'I love you' and/or 'I miss you'. Countless sleepless nights just because of texting each other. Care that exceeds expectation. All of these sweet scenes are nothing but for "BEST FRIENDS".

Of course, you're best friends that's why sweet sya sa'yo!

Buti sana kung ikaw yung THE ONE.

wag masyadong ASSUMING, wag masyadong MASAKTAN, wag masyadong UMIYAK.

Always be there for him/her na lang. Everybody needs a friend like you, so be it!
BEST FRIEND!

Jane-Emily addiction!

The last week of my summer was thrilled by this AWESOME book. I know I love a book whenever I can't get my self off it--and that is just what happened with me as soon as I held this one. I was all cocky whenever I have to do something else--that includes household chores.

Unlike some books I've read, I didn't find the beginning of Jane-Emily BORING! It actually fascinated me instantly plus the season is summer so I can relate to the story very much!

Here is the first few lines of the story.

"There are times when the midsummer sun strikes cold, and when the leaping flames of a hearth fire give no heat. Times when the chill within us comes not from fears we know, but from fears unknown-and forever unknowable."

What else . . . hmm... oh there, I love Jane and Louisa! I can see a great deal of similarity between me and Louisa so I like her. I have a little girl cousin named Jane and we are best buds, so whenever the book mentions Jane, I picture my cousin doing what's written in the book. And I think it's close to reality! LOL! XD

The setting is perfect too. The mansion in the midst of the garden looks majestic and so Gothic! haha!

In the end, I realized, I don't hate Emily, I'm actually scared of her! hahaha! I'm scared of what she ( a clever little selfish girl) could do! LOL!

Emily was a selfish, willful, hateful child who died before her thirteenth birthday. But that was a long time ago.

Jane is nine years old and an orphan when she and her young Aunt Louisa come to spend the summer at Jane’s grandmother’s house, a large, mysterious mansion in Massachusetts. Then one day . . . Jane stares into a reflecting ball in the garden—and the face that looks back at her is not her own.

Many years earlier, a child of rage and malevolence lived in this place. And she never left. Now Emily has dark plans for little Jane—a blood-chilling purpose that Louisa, just a girl herself, must battle with all her heart, soul, and spirit . . . or she will lose her innocent, helpless niece forever.

MEET THE AUTHOR:
Patricia Clapp was born in Boston and attended the Columbia University School of Journalism. Her first novel, Constance: A Story of Early Plymouth, was a runner-up for the 1969 National Book Award for Children's Literature. Her other books include, I'm Deborah Sampson, King of the Dollhouse, Dr. Elizabeth, and Jane-Emily. She describes herself as primarily "a theatre person"; she has worked with her community theatre for over forty years and still writes and directs plays for children. The grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of one, Ms. Clapp lives in Upper Montclair, New Jersey.

Oh please don't think I'm over reacting. Just read it and let's see what you can say... but of course there, there, I highly recommend this! hahaha!
